As you have said that you have done your diploma you can write the exams for joining in Indian navy.The exams which you can opt are NDA and CDS.

The problem is that you cannot write the NDA exam as the age limits for the exam is 16 1/2 - 19 years.As you have you are 22 years old you cannot write this exam.

But you can write the CDS exam as the eligibility needed for the exam is that you must have a age limit of 19 - 22 years and you must have a degree.

You are eligible to join the Indian Navy. The number of posts that you can apply is very limited. You will not be able to join the Navy as an officer. You are eligible to join as a deck cadet or as a musician. Now, you have betters scope if you consider joining the Indian Air Force. Here too you cannot become an officer, but you can become an Air Men. You are eligible to apply for Grade X post and also Grade Y musician post.

If you are full filling all the eligibility criteria this can be of your 12th class or diploma then you are eligible to join the Indian Navy. The minimum marks required are more then 60%.

The selection in Indian Navy is through the written test, physical test, medical test etc. if you qualify all these procedure then you will be call for final medical test and there you will be decided you have joined or not.

* Candidates should apply for NDA(National Defence Academy) exam.
* Candidates should have studied physics and maths at 12th.
* Candidates should get 60% at 12th.

With your b.sc nautical science your definitely eligible for the indian navy . but if you satisfied below requirement then your eligible to attain the indian navy entrance examination . i provide the details about for indian navy .

Education Qualification for Indian Navy :

you should be qualified for 12th examination in science stream ie : physics , chemistry , zoology and mathematics with above 50% percentage of marks .

Age Limit for the Indian Navy :

you age should be 16 to 19 years

Physical Standard for the Indian Navy :

i am so sorry but the maximum age for applying for the indian navy through NDA is 19 years and you have crossed it so now you cannot join the navy..really very sorry

After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Navy.As you are a diploma graduate then you are also very much eligible for Indian Navy.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply.
You can also apply for NDA. There generally two examination are held for NDA, one is NDA-1 and another is NDA-2.You can also attempt both this two exam.

Eligibility criteria for NDA :

Academic qualification:You must have passed your 12th standard.
Age :Age should lie between 16.5 to 19 years.
Height :Minimum 165 cm.
Eyesight :6/6.
Nationality :Indian.

1.graduation from any recognized university .
2.Candidate should have completed BE/B.Tech/B.Sc .
3.Age limit = 19 to 22 years .

Both the exams are conducted by UPSC twice in a year .

But you must fulfill these criteria :

Age limitation :
You should have your AGE WITHIN 16.5 TO 19 YEARS.

Nationality :
You must be an Indian.

Hi

You are not eligible to apply for the Indian Navy. Because you can only apply for the MATRIC RECRUIT and MUSICIANS entry scheme but in both the entry scheme the candidate age should be between 17 to 21 years.

So you are not eligible to apply for the Indian Navy because you are over age and thats why you are not eligible to apply for the above entry scheme.
