IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam by applying and appearing it conducted by UPSC every year.
Eligibility of IAS Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National -Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. The selection is through three phases:- -CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam -Civil Service Main Exam -Personal Interview There is certain restriction to number of attempts to Civil Service Exam:- General Candidate - Four OBC candidate - Seven SC/ST candidate - No limit For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Hai, IAS stands Indian Administrative Service exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) only once in a year. Eligibility for IAS: *The Candidate should be citizen of India *The candidate should be complete any graduation from a recognised university. *Final year persuing candidates also eligible for this exam Age limit: **For OBC Candidates age limit 21 to 33 years. **For General Candidates 21 to 30 years. **For SC/ST Candidates 21 to 35 years. No. of Attempts: **For General Candidates 4 times **For OBC Candidates 7 times **No limit for SC/ST Candidates. Eligibility
•-> Graduation Degree. •-> Age limit - 21 to 30 year. •-> 5 year relaxation to SC/ST/PH and 3 year relaxation to OBC. No. of Permissible Attempts • 4 for GEN candidates. • 7 for OBC Candidates. • No limit for SC/ST But as your sister is in 2nd year of her B.Sc she is not not eligible for this year... If you are interested in IAS First you can appeared for Civil Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Eligibility Criteria for Civil Examination : ** You must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university ** Final year students are also eligible for this examination ** Your age should between 21 to 30 years 3 years relaxation for OBC 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates ** You should be a citizen of india |

Hi dear,
IAS Details IAS i.e Indian Administrative Services is a Reputed Government Post and Every year It is recruited through CSAT Exam i.e Civil Services Aptitude Test. CSAT Exam is conducted through Two modes, One is Preliminary Exam and Another Mode is Mains( 2nd stage of csat exam , only if a guy clears Preliminary Exam). Lets point out some Eligibility Criteria :- From Educational point of view you need to be any Graduate in any Desipline from a recognized University.Within that your Age must be in between 21 to 30 years of age. Therefore Bsc will work out for writing IAS Exam. Now as you said your sister is in 2nd year of Bsc, She's not Eligible for this year CSAT Exam because Final year students are only allowed to write the Exam. But she can apply for CSAT Exam Next year. And Notification Period has started from 19th of February for CSAT Prelims Exam 2011. & It will stays upto march 21 Exam Dates:- First Exam i.e Preliminary Exam is On 12th Of june 2011 and Final i.e Mains Exam is on 29th Of October. 2011. As this year Your sister is Not Eligible So, try out Next Year with Full preparations.
