Sir will i be rejected permanently for my eyesight issue as it is exceeding the said limits or i will be allowed to re appeal after a surgery for the ssb medicals ??
Will they allow Lasik after medical board but before reporting ??

Hello sir, i have -6.5 in each eye. And i am going for the ssb interview on march 3rd 2014. I will do my lasik surgery shortly after my ssb interview. My date of joining will be on June or July i guess. So will i be given an exception in medical check ups for my eyes? Thank you!

because I saw in some wesite that said, refractive error correction is allowed but not visual acuity.

sir i am joining merchant navy. i have been gone through lasik. one year has been passed. my left eye is perfect but the right one is 6/6p. is it a serious problem. but doctors passed me in the test.

Uncorrected without glass: 6/6
Corrected with glass: 6/6
Limits of Myopia: -0.75

Eye sight for Indian Air force:

Correctable to 6/6 only for Hypermetropia
Manifest Myopia = Nil
hColour vision CP-I
Hypermetropia = + 2.0 D Sp
Minimum distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other

Eye sight for Indian Army:

Binocular vision III
Limits of Myopia – 3.5
Limits of Hypermetropia – +2.5
Uncorrected without glass – 6/12
Corrected with glass – 6/6

I Have Been Recommended To Lucknow Command Office And Have Been Given 42 Days.
Sir Is Some Relaxation Is Possible In My Case...??.
