Many reputed government companies recruit the candidates on the basis of the GATE score. It will be mentioned in the notifications published by these companies that the selection will be mainly based on the score secured in the GATE exam. In such cases, it is mandatory for you to attend the GATE exam in order to apply for jobs in these organizations. Some of the reputed companies that uses GATE score are NTPC, BHEL, ICL, DRDO, BARC, ISRO etc. In such cases, you will be short listed for the personal interview based on your GATE score. Based on the performance in the interview your selection will be decided.
