Yes, BCA candidates are eligible to apply for the Combined Defence Services examination. If you are pursuing your final year BCA Course then also you can apply for CDS Examination. This is most famous examination conducted by UPSC, two times in a year and you have to apply for this examination online only.

The examination is conducted for selecting candidates in these Academy and you have to apply for the Academy as per your Eligibility.

=> For IMA/OTA: You have to complete your graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, and your age should between 19 to 25 years for OTA and 19 to 24 years for IMA.

=> Naval/Air Force: you have to study Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects in your Intermediate examination to apply for both these academy and must have completed graduation from Recognized University. Your age should between 19 to 23 years for Air force and 19 to 23 years for Naval academy.

This year examination was completed and if you missed the chance then you can apply for Next CDS(I) Examination, soon the CDS Examination notification is going to be published in few months and after publishing the notification you can apply online for this examination.

As a student of BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application) after completion of which you can apply for CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC two times a year to join Indian Military Academy. Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental physique.

The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of studies in Graduation can apply for all the four wing of CDS but the candidate without the above mentioned subjects can only be eligible to apply for IMA and OTA.

## Scheme Of Examination:

The written examination no doubt is one of the most important criteria and it is very important to score good marks in this examination. This is followed by the intelligence test or personality test where you will be made to do lots of activities like group discussion, group planning and other outdoor activities. You may also be asked to say something on a topic chosen by them. Very confidently you have to do all of these. The examination pattern differs from one academy to the other. While the time you will get is same in all case which is two hours dot and questions are generally objective type basically.
