Dear Friend,

Yes if you will get 55% marks as minimum in M.Sc , then you will be eligible for the NET Exam.

The University Grants Commission [UGC] conducts the National Eligibility Test every year two times in the months of June and December.

As you have done B.Sc with 53% marks , so currently you are not eligible for the NET Exam. So , its nice that you are currently pursuing M.Sc.

You need to complete post graduation first with a minimum of 55% marks to get the eligibility for NET Exam.

Other Eligibility Criteria For NET are :

* Candidates in final year of PG are also eligible to appear in the exam.

* The Age Limit for NET -

a) For Junior Research Fellowship : 21-28 years

b) For lectureship :

There is no age limit for this post.

* Relaxation of 5 years in upper age is given to Candidates of Reserved Categories.

* You must be an Indian Citizen.

The Pattern Of The NET Exam :

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
