as you are in 3rd year ,it is the best time to pull off ur socks and start foussing on GATE exam, u can definitely do good if u give some effort.


text books aren't structured for GATE exam preparation,
so i will strongly recommend if u can arrange notes from any of the institues like
ACE/MADEEASY/GATEFORUM

and refer their study materials,it will definitely help u,
for previous year Q in ECE,u can follow:-
kanodia, as it provides beat solution
apart from kanodia u can also refer GK publication.

the best two books for preparation GATE examination in electronics and communication engineering branch is GATE by G K Publishers and GATE by Konodia.


these two books are very popular for preparation of GATE examination. this book contains so many multiple choice question, previous year papers also some theory chapter wise given in the book.

A lot of good books have been mentioned in this thread. Add Arihant Publications GATE series to it.

Apart from that, course books of GATE coaching classes like TIME are also good. Register for those classes or you can buy their books second hand.

Dear friend, GATE is an entrance examination conducted by IITs to do M.tech. Generally january-february is the month for GATE entrances. Just log on to any of the website of IITs , you can get detailed information. Eligibility criteria are..

*complete your graduation in B.Tech from any stream, final year candidates can also apply.
*No age limit.
*No limit for the number of attempts to write the exam.

GATE scores are valid for two consecutive years, so you can take admission as per your desire.
