There is no specific one which I can point out to you. You see there are several branches of Engineering that have good scope. Therefore my recommendation always is that you look through the branches and see what interests you the most rather than taking my advice.

However since you have asked i would point out some choices for you. According to me the best picks are:

Civil and Mechanical are considered evergreen branches of the Engineering wtih huge scope in India. These two have been the top choice for students for several years and I would definitely suggest that you take a look at these branches and see if you are interested in it.

Aerospace is difficult but very interesting and the job opportunities are good. Out of all choices I have mentioned Aerospace can offer highest paid jobs. Aerospace is not often recommended to any student. But the scope in Aerospace has increased over the years and today you can really make a good career in Aerospace.

The Aerospace Engineering deals with flying vehicles that can go out of Earth's orbit like the space shuttle, rockets, satelites etc. Aerospace Engineers are also required to design missiles for the warfare.


Coming to my favorite branch of Engineering, Electronics and Communications. The reason I recommend ECE to the people is because of variety of jobs available in this branch. You can get job in PSU, IT, Telecom or Consumer Electronics companies after completing Electronics and Communication Engineering.

There are perhaps more jobs for ECE candidates in PSU then any other branch. All you need is B.Tech degree with at least 60 percent marks. A valid GATE score would also improve your chances of getting PSU job. Some of the companies where you can apply are:

There are many branches in engineering, but its up to you that in which stream you have your interest in.
If you like studying electrostatics and magnetism, then you should go for electrical engineering. If you have interest in kinematics and automobile then go on for mechanical. Similarly if you're good in computer language then go for computer science.

It is good to see you that you are interested in the engineering course.Basically for appearing in this course, first you need to complete your +2, with a good percentile.The minimum marks requirement can vary from college to college.

But If you score minimum 60% marks or more then this on your +2 aggregate, then surely you can be eligible for the engineering course.

I think as the world is growing at a faster rate because of Engineering advancements,we should also contribute seriously. New inventions in Mechanical and Electronics area makes it my pick among the disciplines. There is a discipline called as MECHATRONICS ENGG. which will give you a deeper research in both Mechanical and Electronics. As you open your eye you are surrounded by machines. No action is possible without their application.
for ex. a robot is operated by remote (electrical gadget) for human use,design a robot and controlling it mechanically is what the subject is all about.You will find it interesting and at the same time considering the industrial requirements and scope,it is a very good move.A research work in this field will take you higher.

In all the present courses in engineering, the best courses where you can have good future are as follows:

At present scenario there is huge demand for Civil and Mechanical Engineering in India.

The construction company is growing in the mean time in India.

Apart from these courses ECE and Aerospace Engineering are too good to have good future.

You will be offered good salary and the growth in the companies if you go for the above mentioned courses.

CSE and IT Engineering courses are bit risky as there may be huge opportunities or else we can’t expect an opportunities, so it will be better to think and take the decision.

You should either go for civil Engg as it is not affected by recession unlike it or computer science or you should go electronics and communication which have ahuge scope in India not like Biotechnology.
First you shhould decide wat exactly you want a public sector job or a private sector.
If you wish to go for a bank job or IAS, then you can do simple graduation also,

- This engineering course deals with the design, creation and operation of machines related to flying – planes, missiles, rockets, spacecrafts etc. Aerodynamics, avionics, propulsion, acoustics are subjects that are taught under this course.


Computer Engineering

– This engineering stream teaches about the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of computer components.
Electronic and Electrical Engineering

– This engineering course includes research, development, design, creation and maintenance of a diverse set of objects ranging from global Positioning Systems to semi-conductor chips used in mobile phones.

Mechanical Engineering

– This engineering branch is concerned with the design, construction, and operation of power plants, engines, and machines. It deals mostly with things that move.
