As you have done M.Sc. in Biotech that means you are a Graduate in Biotech, so you are eligible to apply for IPS for which you have to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
Besides a Graduate in any stream from a recognised University, you should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. Besides you must be an Indian National in order to apply for Civil Service exam. There is certain prescribed physical requirement for those applying for IPS:- HEIGHT:- General Male-165cm and Female-150cm SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. CHEST:- Male-85cm and Female-79cm which should be expandable to 5cm in both the cases. The selection is through three phases:- CSAT- CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST-PRELIMINARY EXAM CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAM PERSONAL INTERVIEW As the Civil Service Exam is tough and competitive one, you must prepare for this exam rigorously at least one year before you sit for the exam. IPS
>age limit- 21-30 years >At the most one can attempt for four times >you should have a graduation degree Exam Pattern : All India Combined Competitive Examination for the Civil Services conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) comprises of two successive stages: Preliminary Examination: It is of objective type, which is a qualifying examination. Main Examination: It consists of written examination and interview. The Preliminary Examination is held in May/June and the Main Examination in October/November. One must begin preparations of the main exam along with preliminary exam. This is because there is little time for the Main exam if one waits for the results of the Preliminaries. |
