Re: Which branch of engineering is best between Civil, Mechanical?
in view of job opportunities both sectors are at the peak for recruitment of professionals. means these sectors have a very large opportunity for the candidate for having a good career. but instead of it we go very deep the mechanical trade is a bit more value able and demanded rather than of civil. but the experts in both the fields could easily get the appropriate grades.

Re: Which branch of engineering is best between Civil, Mechanical?
Well It Totally depends upon your interest. Both the branches are core branches and have a lot of scope in India. Graduates from both the disciples get a very good job. But in my point of view, Mechanical Engineering would be the better option. This is because A Mechanical engineer can enter in a large no. of fields while a civil engineer gets limited to only construction companies. All The Best |

Re: Which branch of engineering is best between Civil, Mechanical?
Dear aspirants,
Both branches different fields to work ,studies, applications. You cannot compare both branches as both are different in many ways.civil engineers mainly focus on construction, environmental planning, water management, design of colonies etc ,while mechanical engineers can work in any field like manufacturing ,production, software development, mechanical design, assembly lines, administrative jobs, power plant design and maintenance etc. There is only one parameter which can be used to compare these branches and it is -Jobs/placement.Mechanical engineering is considered to be an evergreen branch and most of the mechanical engineers get job as compared to other engineers.Following companies in India offering jobs to mechanical engineers- L & T Ashok Leyland Mahindra & Mahindra Tata motors Asian motors General motors volvo Bharat heavy electrical limited Bharat Dynamics limited Bharat electronics limited Brahmos aerospace pvt ltd DRDO Hindustan aeronautics ltd Jindal steels Aditya Birla cement SAIL NTPC ONGC DVC Mazgon shipyard Kochi shipyard Parle Swaraj tractors Sonalika tractors Preet Tractors Bharat Forge These are some top companies only ,there are many small and medium scale companies which are offering jobs to mechanical engineers.Industries where mechanical engineers working- Tooling industry Food processing Plastic processing industry Gear/Bolt/nut making companies Cold and how processing of metals industry Automobile industry Aerospace industry Design and innovations Design software development industry. Manufacturing industry. Go ahead and pursue graduation in mechanical engineering from any good institute and then you will see why mechanical is so interesting. |

Re: Which branch of engineering is best between Civil, Mechanical?
Both the branches are evergreen.
But Civil branch has so many government jobs in our state than Mechanical. The branch selection is mainly depends upon the interest of the candidate. Mechanical branch has so many ways to go But Civil only deals with constructions etc. |

I'm Ignatius McLawrenz as for me i believe Mechanical engineering is more preferable to other branches of Engineering. because a mechanical engineer can work but in private and public sector. unlike others.
