Candidates belonging to Arts stream may write NDA exam to join Indian Army but for Indian Air Force and Indian Navy, Candidates from science background are only eligible.
The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 16 years 6 months and the maximum age limit is 19 years.
This age limit is applicable to apply for any of the defense forces after qualifying +2 level of exam.

To apply for the NDA exam, you may visit www.upsconline.nic.in for online application.
The application form will be available from 31.12.2011.
The upcoming NDA exam is going to be conducted on 15.04.2012.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year and to apply for this examination you have to complete your 12Th examination from a recognised Board, Final appearing candidates are also apply for NDA Examination.

For this Year Both NDA Examination was already completed and Result was also Declared and Availiable in the official website.

This Examination is Conducted by UPSC for the Recruitment of these 3 Wings:

>> Army Wings
>> Naval Wings
>> Air Force Wings

If you have completed your 12Th examination from Arts Stream, then you are eligible to apply for only Army wings of NDA.

Only Unmarried Male candidates Between the age of 16.5 to 19 Years are Eligible.

You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease and minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.

So, If you have satisfied the Given Eligiblity, then you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination. The Notification of NDA(I) 2012 Examination Notification will be Published Today in the Official website of UPSC.

Eligible candidates may fill the NDA Application form Online By visit the official website, The last date of apply for NDA Examination 30/Jan/2012.

Examination will be held on 15/April/2012.

Then You can go for it.. But you have to fulfill some eligibility criteria before appearing in NDA exam.

Eligibility for NDA exam:-

For Army wing:-

1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in any trade or its equivalent course..

2.Age should be in between 16.5-19 years.

3.Candidate must be physically fit.

4.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
So, if your age is in between 16.5-19 years, then you can apply for the exam.

Yes. An arts student is eligible to appear in NDA exam after 12th. But you cannot join in Navy or Airforce. Because the requirements for the candidates to appear in NDA is that you must have finished your 12th std and your age must be above 19 and below 21. In addition to that you must have taken science as your stream in 12th std to appear in NDA and join in Navy or Airforce.

Thus if you are ready to join in Army you can appear for NDA exam.

you can appear for the nda examination, which is conducted by the union public service commission.
But you must have maths in 12th,. as maths is the core subjects of NDA examination.so, you can appear for the NDA examination. although you can not apply for the NAVAL & AIR FORCE WING, as for apply in these , you must have subject physics & maths in 12th
the age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years.

Now as per your question, I am really sorry to say that no arts student can apply for the NDA exam.

Its because it is a science stream exam. However if you have studied arts, then first of all you must complete your graduation in some stream and then later you can apply for the NDA 2 exam.

Sorry to say that arts student are not eligible for NDA exam.Only 12th standard student with Math and Physics are eligible for NDA exam.Details of the NDA exam is given below.

Educational Qualification-

You must have completed 12th standard with physics, maths, chemistry.
You must have secure 60% marks in 12th.

Age criteria-

The age should be in between 16.5-19years.
There is no age relaxation for SC/ST , OBC criteria.

NOTE:-

>>Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

>>You must have the citizenship of India.

PCM is a must to apply for NDA.
The eligibility criteria for NDA is given below :
1. The candidate must be an Indian.
2. The candidate must have passed the 12th class examination or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
3. The age limit is 16.5 to 19.5 years.

Dear friend yes you can apply for army through NDA but you are not eligible y for navy and air force because only science graduates are required.

Yes, you can apply for NDA being an arts candidate but can apply for the Army wing only (out of three wings available i.e. Indian, Air Force; Indian Army; and Indian Navy)

Being a tribal belonging to schedule tribe how can I possibly crack the nda exam and how much percentage should I score ? Can I prepare offering science excluding maths
