I am a student of BTech. in CS department. I m in 4th year. I appear for bank PO form?kindly answer me.

As per the eligibility criteria any graduate can appear for this test. Also candidates who are in their final year can also appear for the same. Since you are in the final year you can appear for the exam. The minimum marks required for appearing for this exam varies from 55% to 60%. Make sure that you have at least 60% to be eligible to apply for any bank test.

The eligibility criteria for bank PO exam is graduation degree with at least 55% marks.
You have not completed your gaduation degree yet so you are not eligible for cracking the bank PO exam as you are in your b.tec final year

It actually depends on banks. Some banks are demanding degree certificate by jan 2011, there you cannot apply. But in other banks b.tech continuing is also allowed, there you can apply.

(a) Educational Qualifications:
General Candidates and others - 60% or more marks in class XII and 55% or more marks in Graduation or
Post Graduation.

2. Age - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years

Being you are a btech CS graduate, You can also try for Technical officer in bank

According to the eligibility criteria you should first complete your graduation.You can apply after you complete your graduation.

YES, you can apply for the BANK PO exams after passing your BTECH


For the Banks in the Government sector exams for the Post of PO and Clerks are conducted by:
IBPS on behalf of 20 Nationalised banks
SBI conducts its own exams


Eligibilty for the IBPS CLERKS exams:
Min educational qualifications is Graduation Pass
Age should be between 20 and 28 years


Eligibilty for the IBPS PO exams:
Graduation Pass
Age should be between 20 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


Eligibilty for the SBI BANK CLERKS exams:
12th Pass with Minimum 60% marks or Graduation Pass

The only criteria to appear in bank PO exam is graduation in CWE 3 ibps exam. Graduates were also appriciated in last 2 yeras for CWE first and second and thousand of graduates had started their career as probationary officer in banking sector.
B.tech is also a specialized graduation course in particular sreams i.e. CS, Electronics etc. There is a wide Scopes for an computer engineer in banking sector, they can start as specialist officer on probationary officer.
