Up to my knowledge there is no restriction for the selection of IAS in this regard

you only need to worry if you are interested in IPS

There will some Physical standards that need to be fulfilled in the test conducted there.

Anyways I will attach you a file which is related to Physical requirement but no need to worry in that physical requirement it is only stressed on IPS

not on IAS so be cool

and prepare the best for IAS entrance

Height is not at all a criteria for writing Ias examination. if you opt for IPS, height is considered but not for IAS.
So prepare for the examination without worrying.

There is no any restriction of height for IAS exam. only you have completed graduate and age should be 21 to 30 for IAS.

Physical craitera only regarding for IPS. So you can do prepration and eligible to apply for IAS with same height.

Off-course you can apply for IAS, there is only criteria for age and qualification,
age should be in between 21-35,
qualification should be "graduate"

When i don't clear exam IPS first time ?

Yes, you can appear for IAS exam with your height as 4 feet 7 inches as there is no specification regarding Physical requirement for IAS aspirants.

To become an IAS officer, one has to crack Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligiblity criteria for the same is as under-

1. Candidate must be an Indian National.

2. He must either appearing for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognized university.

3. He must be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

As there is no Physical requirement such as Height and Chest for IAS, you are eligible to appear for IAS exam with your present height.

The height criteria for the exam is:

* For female 155 cms.

* For males 165 cms

I believe you are confused between IAS and IPS. You must differentiate between Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service. While to appear for IPS entrance exam, the candidate is required to meet some physical criteria. There is no such limit for the IAS.

It is due to the nature of work. Since IPS is related to security and law & order, each candidate has to meet certain criteria related to height, chest, weight, eye sight etc.

There is simply no such restriction for the Indian Administrative Service. As the matter of fact, even physically disabled candidates can also apply for the Indian Administrative Service. There is some quota for such candidates.

I hope this will assure you to apply for the Indian Administrative Service without any fear. Please start the preparations as soon as possible and don't think about the physical requirements.


Eligibility

1. A citizen of India is eligible to apply.

2. The candidate must be graduation degree holder.

3. You are not required to meet any percentage criteria in graduation.

Let me tell you that there is no minimum height criteria specified for the IAS exam yes but if you go for IPS then there are some physical measures which you need to follow. so if you are planning for IAS only then there is no need to get disturbed by this small thing as it is not gonna affect you and i advice you to stop thinking about this and concentrate over your studies.

Other eligibility is as follows :-

1. All graduate are eligible
2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university
3. Only Indian citizen are eligible
4. Age limit is 20-30 years
5. Graduation subject does not matter at all
6. relaxation to those who belong to SC, ST and OBC
7. Attempts are also limited that is why a thorough preparation in mandatory.
8. No minimum percentage criteria for IAS.

well height is not an important criteria for IAS, it is considered as an important factor in IPS.
but if your height is above 5'5 inch the its good for men and minimum 5 for women then its considered as a advantage...

Friend I am happy to inform you tat you are eligible for I.A.S exam.

Friend Height is not matter in I.A.S.

If you want to apply in I.P.S then you are not eligible.

Friend In I.A.S there is no medical exam.

There are three stage of selection:-
> Prelims Exam
> Mains Exam
> Interview

After passing graduation you can apply for I.A.S.

Age limit for I.A.S is 21-30 year,
