can i appear ipcc without passing cpt after bcom..please tell me

You can write IPCC even if you don’t pass CPT. 55% marks are essential in B.Com for the same. It is necessary to qualify IPCC first. For this, prepare on subject areas cost accounting, business laws, financial accounting, business communication etc. On clearing IPCC attend practical training as well. I HAVE PASSED B.COM WITH 64% OF MARKS . I HAS TO JOIN IPCC NOW . WHAT TO DO NOW

Yes it is quite possible to do IPCC without having to appear for Common Proficiency Test. Earlier it was mandatory to write Common Proficiency Test but now ICAI has given some relaxation to the graduation degree holders.

You are given exemption from appearing in Common Proficiency Test if:-

1. Scored at least 55 percent marks in B.Com

2. or at least 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation course.

If you meet this criteria then surely you are eligible for direct admission in IPCC without clearing Common Proficiency Test of Chartered Accountancy.

If you have scored 55 % marks in your B.Com. then you will be exempted from CPT if you have studied any 3 of the following subjects in your Graduation.

-Accounting

-Tax Law

-Mercantile Law

-Economics

-Business Administration

-Cost Accounting

-Auditing

-Indirect Tax Laws

So if you have studied any 3 of the above subjects as full subjects in Graduation then you will be exempted from CPT and you can directly apply for IPCC .

CPT is essential for 10+2 candidates and those Graduates who doesn’t fullfill above criteria.

You can filled-in registration form for CA IPCC supplied along with Prospectus available at sales decentralised offices, the cost of Prospectus is Rs.100/-(by post or courier Rs125). These forms can also be downloaded from website www.icai.org.

YES, You can get admission in the IPCC Stage directly even if you have done Graduation from Open university

But you need to fulfill the below criteria

>> Commerce Graduates needs to score minimum aggregate of 55% marks in B.COM to get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams.

A candidates can get exemption from giving the CPT exams if he/she has studied atleast 3 papers from the below list of papers.
Accounting,
Auditing,
Mercantile Laws,
Corporate Laws,
Economics,
Management including Financial Management,
Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc.,
Costing,
Business Administration,
Management Accounting


>> For Non Commerce Graduates, if they have scored more than 60% marks in Graduation, they get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams and get direct admission in the IPCC stage

If you are a B.COM graduate then you can directly appear for IPCC exam without passing the CPT exam.And the other candidates must pass the CPT exam to appear for the IPCC exam.

Yes you can register yourself for IPCC with your degree final year.

IPCC is Integrated Professional Competency Course. It is the inter level for CA exam.

Regarding CA colleges, you have to understand there is no college for CA. But many private institutions are available also ICAI too provides coaching classes.

Regarding subjects, IPCC includes seven papers with two groups.

First group
Accountancy
Business law, ethics and communication
Costing and Financial management
Taxation

Group two
Advance accounting
Auditing and assurance
Information technology and strategic management

Do prepare well.

Its always better to do IPCC after passing CPT. The level of study, methods, answering everything of CPT varies from IPCC. While preparing for CPT study CPT concentrate on that. After registration of IPCC you have 9 months for study. You can study for IPCC at that time. Don't screw IPCC with CPT.
