Chartered Accountancy-Integrated Professional Competence Course Examination - Group II Auditing and Assurance Papers
Auditing is one of the prime works done by any Chartered Accountant. The second round of examination for the Chartered Accountant aspirants is IPCC previously which was just PCC. The Group II Auditing and Assurance Paper, forms the base of a Chartered Accountant. A thorough preparation in this paper not only helps to do well but also to excel as a Chartered Accountant.
Brief contents:
Auditing Concepts, Auditing and Assurance Standards, Auditing engagement, Documentation, Audit evidence, Internal Control, Audit Sampling, Audit of payments, Audit of Purchases, Audit of Sales, Audit of suppliers’ ledger and the debtors’ ledger, Audit of impersonal ledger, Audit of assets and liabilities, Company Audit and Audit Report.
Pattern of the paper:
The paper consists of 8 questions and all of them have to be answered. First two questions are of twenty marks each and the rest are of 10 marks each. There are no overall choices in the paper, however, internal choices are present in some questions. The paper is a good mix of objective questions, short type questions and long questions as well.
Total marks and time allotted:
The total marks for the exam is 100 and 3 hours is allotted for the exam which seems to be very less, major reason being the long theoretical questions.
