Hi, currently I am pursuing my 1st year of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). So, am I eligible to apply for CTET while still being in 1st year of D.El.Ed? Or, do I need to complete the D.El.Ed first and then apply for CTET?

Being in the first year of D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) degree course you are not eligible for appearing in the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) as for appearing in the same examination as for appearing in the same examination candidate is required to have completed D.Ed./D.El.Ed./B.Ed along with regular academic degree course. Further, candidates pursuing final year of D.El.Ed./B.Ed. degree course are also eligible.

So, from the next year you will be eligible for appearing in the CTET examination as you will get into the final year of your D.El.Ed degree.
