The minimum academic qualification required to join the Indian Police Service as an officer is graduation. A graduate in any discipline may apply for the position and since you have completed MBA, you are definitely eligible to apply.

The entrance examination conducted for Indian Police Service is known as Civil Service Examination and it is being conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission.
Now, apart from being a graduate, it is also important to be within the prescribed age limit which is as follows:

• For General Category: 21-30 years
• For OBC Category: 21-33 years
• For SC/ST category: 21-35 years

The notification for the examination is published on the official website of the commission as well as on all major newspapers of India. Once the notification is published, you will be able to apply online through the official website of the commission.

Yes, you can become an IPS officer as you have completed Graduation and pursing MBA.

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

Apart from this the candidate applying for IPS has to under go a certain prescribed Physical standard.

Height:-

For General Male-165cm and for Female-150cm
For SC/ST Male-160cm and for Female-145cm

Chest:-

For Male 85cm and for Female 79cm and expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selection is through three stages:-

Preliminary Exam- CSAT- Civil Service Aptitude Test

Civil Service Main Exam

Personal Interview

IPS stands for Indian Police Service and this Examination organized by Union Public Service . The Examination is divided into Major three levels namely , Preliminary , Main Examination and Interview

To appear for this Examination One need to satisfy the following criteria ..

Aspirant need to hold Graduation Course from recognized University . Aspirant who waiting for Bachelor degree Final semester result may also eligible to apply for this Examination .

Aspirant age should be Not less than 21 years and Not More than 23 years and Upper relaxation provide to Backward candidates like, SC/ST and OBC candidates .

Note :- For IPS post you should also Physically as well as Medically Fit ..

(Paper 1) (200 marks) consists of

(Paper II) (200 marks)

-Comprehension
-Logical reasoning and analytical ability

-General mental ability
-Basic numeracy(Class X level)
