Can I get admission to study M.Tech(Mechanical Engineering) in Indian Institute of Technology through GATE being a B.Tech(Aeronautical Engineering) student?

Hello everyone,
Being an B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering student
can I do M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
from Indian Institute of Technology by
qualifying GATE in Mechanical Engineering(ME)?

** M.Tech. Mechanical Engineering or Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a postgraduate Mechanical Engineering course.

** For this course candidate should have passed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent examination from a recognized university.

** As per my knowledge, you are not eligible to get admission to study M.Tech(Mechanical Engineering) in Indian Institute of Technology through GATE being a B.Tech(Aeronautical Engineering) student.
