Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
Dear Friend
For admission in M.Tech. at IITs you should have first class or 60% in graduation(B.E./B.Tech.) so, you won't be eligible to get admission there. However you can try getting admission in NITs or other government institutions. As your score in B.E. is not in the first class range so you must score very well in the coming GATE examination so that you can get one of the best possible according to your marks in B.E. |

Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
YES, you can definitely get a seat in IITs except IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay if you are general category student.
IIT Delhi and Bombay requires minimum 60% for general category and minimum 55% marks in B.Tech for SC/ST candidates. But you must have high score in GATE exam to get into IITs. All the best |

Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
Well of course you can get seats in MTECH but for that you have to take GATE exam which is for BACHELOR students to get admission to IIT's for PG courses .
GATE Eligibility You must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering and those who are in the final or pre-final year. You must have Master degree in any branch of Statistics/ Science/ Mathematics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year. You can take gate exam as many times as you want there is no limit . There is no age limit . So if you take GATE exam you can pursue you PG from IIT's . |

Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
No you are not eligible for IITs.
The IIT requires minimum 60% in graduation. But you can try other colleges. You have to sit for GATE entrance exam and score very high to get admission in good institutes of India. Since your graduation percentage is very low, so you have to work very hard to get admission in other good colleges... All the best. Don't worry...work hard. |

Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
hello dear
Admission procedure for ME/M.Tech. in IITs is given below 1.very good gate score approx 99 percentile. 2.or rank should within 1000. 3.BE/B.Tech qualified from recognized university or college. so you 58% marks in BE will not make any matter to do ME/M.Tech. from IITs. all the best............ |

Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
Dear friend,
To do M Tech from an IIT demands a minimum 60 % in your B Tech from you. But you have 58. I don' want to sound disappointing , but IIT M Tech is something which is a bit far from you now. You can try for NIT's and other REC from where you can pursue your M Tech and later gain more knowledge, so that you can clear entrance exams of private and government sector exams. Best of your luck ! |

Re: Can I get M.Tech seat in IITs with a percentage of 58 in B.E.?
My friend as you must be well aware GRE is a general test conducted by ETS for the graduates all over the world. This exam's score is now a days required by many international institues and companies for the job allocations. This test entitles you to be a perfect personality along with the degree that you have. Based on the score you get in the exam the companies get an idea about your analytical writing skills, verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning skills.
And as you know that many companies ask the employees to have minimimum 60% in their graduation so you can very well say that the GRE minimum cutoff should be 60%. So I think it is fair for them if its 60% and you must score atleast this much marks as only then you will be eligible for many exams not only GRE. Good luck. |
