Sir i am 10st pass.can i join indian navy.plz tell me sir. please give me the details

Hi Friend,

I'm sorry to tell you that you can not join the Indian navy as a 10th standard passing student but you can join Indian army as general duty not applicable for the officer ranks. Because the minimum qualification required to join Indian navy is 12th from a recognized board. For NDA your age not more then 19 years and not less then 16.5 years.
for Indian navy and air force having PCM subject in 12th is necessary. Another need for NDA is the candidate should be unmarried. Candidate should be physically and mentally strong.

so my suggestion to you is that please continue your study towards 12th and then apply for Indian navy.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for Indian Navy after passing 10th.

If you want to join in Indian Navy then you have to pass 12th with physics and maths.

After passing 12th you have to qualify the NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY Exam.

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
In month of and April and August.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

You have completed 10th standard so you cant apply in Indian Navy exam .But you can apply in GD post of BSF , CISF ,CRPF etc.

If you want to join in Indian navy then first complete your 12th standard because after 12th standard you are eligible for NDA exam.This exam recruit Indian navy .

But your 12th standard subject must be science background .NDA exam not require any kind of percentage marks in 12th board .

Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years old.

The selection process for NDA exams are-Written Test , Physical Test ,medical test and personal interview .

I would like to suggest to you that there is no entries for class 10th pass
students so that they can get into indian navy.The whole proceedure of
getting recruited is as follows:-
after 12th you get 2 types of entries:-
->TES
TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME for 12th passed.
->must have above 70% in class pcm.
->pcm as a group in class 12th.
->direct ssb interviews.
->NDA
NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY for 12th passed.
->16.5 to 19 yrs of age.
->written exam and then shortlisted are sent for ssb interviews.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible to join Indian Navy at present time.

The eligibility criteria required for Indian Navy are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 12th from any recognised board.

* Age limit- 16.5- 19 yrs.

* Sex- Male.

* Nationality- Indian.

To join Indian Navy should have to pass your 12th with physics,Maths and Chemistry as your major subjects and then you can apply for NDA exam and then after clearing it you can join Indian Navy.

After passing 10th it is not possible to join Indian navy of NDA.

NDA - National Defence Academy conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force of NDA.

The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Navy, must be an Indian unmarried male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

So if you are interested for Indian Navy you should have passed 12th first to apply for NDA.

Sorry friend 10th passed students are not eligible for Indian Navy.

For Indian Navy you must be atleast 10+2 passed with Physics and Mathematics subjects.

After completing 10+2 with above subjects there will be some exams through which you can join Indian Navy.

To become an Officer in Indian Navy you can apply for NDA and NA examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.

For above examination your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be unmarried male of India.

You have to pass the examination in which the first stage will be an Objective type paper .If you pass objective type paper then you will be called for SSB Interview.

The merit will be prepared after above examination and those who are in merit will undergo medical examination. Those who are fit will be selected.

You can also apply for non officers posts like Artificier Apprentice and Senior Secondary Sailor.

The age limit for non officers posts is 17 to 21 years. The selection is based in the written examination and physical fitness test.

How to join Indian Navy

After 10th..there is no option to join the Indian Navy but after completion of your 12th you can join the Navy by clearing the NDA(National Defence Academy)

The NDA Exam is conducted every year in the months of April and August by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for recruitment to the following wings :-

>> Air Force
>> Navy
>> Army

To appear for the NDA Exam a candidate needs to fulfill the following conditions :-

>> candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

>> candidate must have completed 12th from a recognized board with PCM for Indian Navy..

>> you must be an unmarried male to apply for the NDA..

You will have to clear the following rounds to get recruited :-

>> Written Exam
>> SSB Interview
>> Medical Exam

The written exam will test you on :-

>> General Ability Test
>> Maths

Iam sorry to say this you are not eligible for Indian Navy because the minimum educational qualification is 12th standard, So first complete your 12th standard and then apply NDA exam.

NDA(National Defence Academy) exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year.

You should be complete 12th standard.

You must be an INDIAN origin.

You must be physically fit.

No need of percentage restrictions.

Minimum age 16.5years.

Maximum age 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible.


Selection process:-


3 stages:-

Written exam,

SSB interview,

Medical test.


Written exam pattern:-

Mathematics- 300 marks,

General ability test- 600 marks.

Total=900 marks.
