Can I sit for WBSSC exam at the age of 32 and after graduating in BA (hons) with 49.1%?


Respected Sir, I have scored 49.1% marks in B.A.(Hons) and my subject was English. I am 32 years of age so Can I sit for WBSSC Exam? Please tell me the other necessary criteria for the exam.

The West Bengal School Service Commission (West Bengal SSC) is conducted for recruiting the teachers of higher secondary school.

If you have completed bachelor degree from a recognized university, then you are eligible for WBSSC exam.

B.Ed course is essential for WBSSC exam.

Only Indian citizenship candidate are eligible for this exam.

Your age should be in between 20 to 40 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates.

OBC—3 years
SC/ST— 5 years
PH—10 years
