if i want to do MBA then from which field should i do
i dont have any knowledge about it
how can i prepare for the cat exams

mba degree will surely make engineer degree a good one but it will be a different field u will be working wither in marketing aur finance and many other areas. Sure u can give the cat entrance exam for it prepare well for the exam

MBA after b.tech is a good career planing,it will really boost your career prospect.

There are various specialised fields in mba for an engineer,like-IT management,marketing,supply chain management,construction management etc.

Since,you are a engineer,you will not face much problem in cracking CAT,one of better way for it is to join a good coaching for it like-T.I.M.E. , ERUDITE etc.
They will guide you in a proper way,how to crack CAT etc.because cat is not a one day chapter,so that i will give you some tips and you will be able to crack it.

first u haven't clarified ur query. so it's difficult to advice you anything. u have completed engineering in which field? for preparing for CAT exams go through english grammer books, try to improve your general knowledge and reasoning skills.

Yes this enable you to make right decision in engineering field and you can manage well in this field after getting the MBA degree and get good job and handsome salary too.

nowadays everyone, both from engineering as well as science groups, are doing mba. i would advice you to stick to core as this will help you in reaching greater heights in career. if you wish to do mba, then you can choose finance or hr. try to get into IIM as it is not worth getting a mba degree in any other institution

yes definitely mba does makes a degree special and not only engineering degree.....
but it fells odd if some one does mba after b.tech......although it is beneficial......but if he would have done m.tech from his field then he could have gained some thing from his engineering degree.....
if one wanted to do mba then he could have gone for other degree for a shorter time....

the certificate itself boost your career to a new height after getting management certificate you will e getting a higher salary than earlier.

in my view you should give gate exams as this will enhance your field strength and get a better scope in future engineers with high qualification are given more preference

suppose you branch in engineering is chemical,your job profile will change completely .

with out mba -your work will be in labs,

I have completed my B.tech in electronics and communication and then completed MBA in HR and IT. Like every one said that b.tech MBA is very good combination and there will be very good career but i didnt find any change after doing MBA and still i m in a confusion which field have to choose and which one will be good. Could some one help me out in this.
