Re: Can medical girl student apply for NDA?
NDA stands for National Defense Academy and for joining the same one needs to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC.
Now as far you are concerned about the eligibility of medical student to join NDA then I would like to let you know that medical students are eligible to join NDA to join Indian Army wing of Indian defence sector. Meanwhile I would also like to let you know that medical girl candidates are not eligible to join NDA as for the same only unmarried Indian male candidates are eligible. Re: Can medical girl student apply for NDA?
NDA refers to National Defense Academy and as the name suggests same is a defense academy meant for providing training and education to those who manages to qualify NDA entrance examination with an aim to be a commissioned officer in Indian defense sector.
NDA entrance examination is held twice every year by UPSC in two stages which includes Written Test followed by SSB interview. --> Further the minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in NDA entrance examination are as here under :- * You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate. * Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years. * You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board of education. But to join Indian Navy and Indian Air force your Class 12th academics must include Mathematics and Physics as main subjects. * You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. So it is quiet evident from above mentioned required eligibility criteria to join NDA that a medical stream girl candidate is not eligible to join NDA as for the same only male candidates are eligible. Further male candidates pursuing Class 12th with Medical stream are eligible to join Indian Army through NDA. Re: Can medical girl student apply for NDA?
No you are not eligible to apply for NDA because as per the eligibility criteria only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA. As you have completed your 12th standard with medical stream hence you are not eligible because only those candidates are eligible who have completed their 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Re: Can medical girl student apply for NDA?
NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year for recruitment of candidates in defence services.
The eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board. The age limit to appear in examination is between 16.5-19.5 years and only male candidates are eligible to appear in examination. So, if you are a girl candidate you are not eligible to appear in examination. For Air Force and Navy recruitment it is necessary to have PCM as main paper in 12th board. |

Sorry, a female candidate cannot apply for thr NDA examination as per the eligibility requirements and UPSC announcements.
However. there are three academies in NDA : * Indian Army * Indian Navy * Indian Air Force If you want to get into any of these, you can still.make it through CDS (Combined Defense Services) Exam conducted by UPSC twice in an year for recruiting candidates into : * Indian Military Academy (IMA) * Indian Naval Academy (INA) * Indian Air Force Academy (IAF) * Officer's Training Academy (OTA) But you can apply for thr above said only after completion of Graduation. i.e. You must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognition or equivalent qualifications. You can apply for it online through www.upsconline.nic.in Wait for thr notifications and then appear in the exam anf crack to proceed further into defense. // For further information, you may refer to the official website of UPSC i.e www.upsc.gov.in |
