IES stands for Indian Engineering Services and this is not for IT branch student then how can you apply IES may be there is a way but in my opinion IT Student can not apply IES so no hope ..
But anyhow if you cleared this exam then 100% you will get placement/job. |

As per the rule only those who have completed engineering in the specified stream are eligible. These include E&C, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. So any of the candidates who are not from this stream cannot apply. If you are still interested in Government job you must be on the lookout for notifications regarding the same. You do have the option to apply for tests like IAS.
