Both the M.Ed and M.Phil course, having good scope in both the government as well as in private sectors. So, It's difficult to say which is better among the course.

►The Applicant who are interested in Teaching field then the applicant may apply for M.Ed course
►The Applicant who are interested in Research field then the applicant may apply for M.Phil Curse.

M.Ed stands for ( Master of Education ). It is like a Post Graduation program. The duration of the course has been for two years with four semesters.

M.Ed Eligibility Criteria :-

~Candidates must be a B. Ed Graduate in any subject area from a recognized University or they should have equivalent qualifications.
~Candidates must be scored minimum 50% to 60% percentage of marks in B. Ed course and relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST and OBC category candidates for 5% marks.

The Admission to this course is based on merit list and the mode of selection will be differ from college to college. Most of the M.Ed Institution/University conducts their own entrance examination within the college and allot admission based on the entrance examination performance.

M.Phil stands for (Master of Philosophy). The duration of the course has been for two years.

M.Phil Eligibility Criteria:-

~Applicants should possess a Master degree course from a recognized University with minimum of 55% marks. Final Year students can also apply SC / ST applicants have to ensure that they possess a minimum of 50% marks in master degree.
~ Applicants should be qualified in NET/SLET entrance examination with good marks.

The Admission to this course is based on the entrance examination and Interview conducted by the Institution. It's mandatory that the candidate should be qualified in the entrance examination in order to get admission to M. Phil course. Most of the Institution/University may also accept NET/SLET score card.

I am doing M.Ed .But due to interest I am continiously trying for M.phil ,PhD.Fortunately I have got Mphil.What can I do .is this good to leave M.Ed and do M.phil? Plz suggest according to UGC norms.

After doing M.ed will i be eligible to apply in college n universities for lecturer and asst prof.

Both the courses are good and are having good job opportunities so it's actually difficult to choose between them.
