The criteria are similar to the candidates joining after 12th science. They will first assess the marks secured in diploma and the engineering course. They normally look for consistency. In most of the companies a minimum aggregate score of 60% is a must. After that the candidates need to perform well in the written test and the interview round.

sir i have 70% in 10th, 54% in 12th% and 69% in BE so can i apply in wipro?

The criteria is same for all the candidates whether they are from lateral entry or not. Just keep following points in mind-

* You should have at least 60% marks in 10th, 12th and B. E.

* You should not have any backlog in any subject in any semester.

* Your performance should be consistent.

* Your project work should be interesting and useful.

* Your communication and interview skills should be excellent.

* Your presentation skills and body language should be proper.

If you have all these things, you can easily get into TCS, Infosys etc.

Sir I have 77% in 10th, 45% in 2, in diploma 73.4% and my current cgpa in B.TECH is 6.3 but I have two year year gap between 2 and diploma am i eligible for TCS?

As you are a lateral entry student then to appear in campus drive of any leading software company,you must have 60% aggregate in your 10th, diploma, and graduation course..

They will consider your diploma result, not the 12th result...

So, if you have 60% aggregate through out the career then you can appear in the campus drive of those leading software company..

NOTE:-
For Infosys you must have 65% aggregate through out the career..

The eligibility criteria for TCS,Infosys,Wipro are -

1. At least 60% marks throughout the carrier for TCS and Wipro and 65% marks for Infosys .
2. No backlogs are allowed.
3. Year gap more than two are not allowed .
4. Excellent communication skill .

You have to satisfy all of the above criteria .As you are Lateral entry student you can cover your 12th result with the result of Diploma because Diploma is equivalent to 12th.
But your graduation degree result should be at least 65% ,so don't think too much and concentrate on your study .

For lateral entry students..the company shall be checking the 10th marks and the diploma percentage instead of the 12th percentage and the B.Tech aggregate percentage up till the 6th semester..the rules remain same for you also..

60% in 10th, in diploma and in B.Tech till the 6th semester and at the time of the placements..you should have no backlogs..

the criteria for TCS,INFOSYS, WIPRO,CTS are not different for lateral entry students.The criteria is same for them.Not for only these companies but also for any MNC.

For wipro there is no education gap is mention but for TCS minimum gap allowed is only 2years.
So, you might not be eligible for TCS but can be wipro but i am providing details of the companies..


WIPRO

Eligibility

1. Fulltime BE / BTech/ MCA
2. Candidate must have a minimum of 60% aggregate from all years/semesters in your degree.
3. Candidate must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in 10th and 12th even for some colleges wipro come with 50% aggregate in 10th and 12th......
4. B.E./B.Tech/MCA should be full time ONLY.

You can always apply for the above metioned companies and the criterion for selection remains the same for u as for the others

1) You should have 60% or above as aggregate throughout your career

2) You should not have a study gap of more than 2 years

3) Ypu should have no backlogs at the time of your placement..

After getting admission in an Engineering College,it is not a tough task to get a job in reputed Company like TCS,Infosys and Wipro.If your College Campus Recruitment is good,so you need not to worry at all.But the visiting of MNC is your College campus does not clears your way for the job,there are some eligibility conditions of Companies.

Basic Eligibility conditions for MNC jobs:

• Your % in 10th,12Th/Diploma,B.Tech/B.E. must be above than 60%.
• You should not have any backlog left in the course.
• You must be fluent in English.
• You must have good Personal,Communication Skills.
• You must have good practical knowledge in your areas of interest.

If you have all these qualities,then you will surely get job in a reputed MNC and one thing more,do practice aptitude test regularly as it is the basic level of Recruitment.

Lateral entry student means that instead of 12th, you pursued diploma in engineering after completing 10th. After that you took admission in the second year of engineering college to pursue B.Tech course.


This is what is referred as lateral entry. The general perception is that there is different criteria for lateral entry students to apply for job. Or that they are not considered for job by top companies.


Both perception are wrong. In your case, the IT companies do not change the criteria for job if a lateral entry candidate is applying for the job. The criteria remains the same.


Now what exactly is the criteria. The IT companies want candidate to have maintained a certain percentage throughout the academic career. This percentage is different for different companies.


For example TCS and Infosys requires candidate to have scored 60 percent marks in 10th, 12th and B.Tech. However in your case, 12th would get replaced by diploma. Which means that you must have scored 60 percent marks in 10th, diploma and B.Tech.


Same goes for the Wipro. The requirement for job in Wipro is 65 percent marks throughout the academic career. Similarly in your case, 12th criteria will get replaced by the diploma course. This is the job criteria for IT companies.


Don't forget that apart from academic performance, IT companies also conducts a interview of the candidate. A lot actually depends on how well you performs in the interview.
