Hii the topmost colleges will take the students within 5000 ranking.After filling these colleges you can take other colleges based on college ranking.But to join good college you must get ranking within 2000 for ec as it is a top branch.All the best

If you want admission KCET then EC branch in top colleges are taken up within 1500 as it is one of the most sought sfter branch in engineering.
But if through COMEDK EC is available in good colleges till around 2700-3000.
So you decide accordingly and I must tell you that you get surprises in counselling.
