Can you tell me which degree is required to appear for IPS entrance exam? Please tell me the options

You can apply for the IPS test with any degree. The applicants should have at least 21 years of age while applying the exam. You should clear the physical fitness exam. The applicants must have Indian citizenship. More details are there in the website of IPS.

You can study any degree to appear for IPS entrance exam.. The eligibility criteria for IPS exam is as follows...

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR IPS ENTRANCE EXAM

-> Minimum age of the candidate should be around 21-30 years.

-> Any degree from a recognized university would be the minimum educational qualification required to appear for the exam.

-> The candidate who is already appointed to the other Civil Services such as IAS, IFC etc. are not eligible to appear for IPS entrance exam.

-> Physical Fitness is needed to get through the IPS selection.


POINTS TO NOTE :

-> Civil Service Aptitude Test ( CSAT ) may be amended from 2011 which consists of only one aptitude question paper.

-> Refer good books for preparation.. Some of the recommended books which are available in the market are as follows...

dear friend,
IPS exam is a civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.

Eligibility for IPS exam:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.

2.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

3.Age should be in between 21-30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.

Indian Police Service exam is held once in year, this exam is part of Civil service exam and exam is conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility criteria for IPS exam:
You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21to 33 year for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates

Number of attempts:
4 attempts for General category candidates.
7 attempts for Obc category candidates
14 attempts for SC/ST category candidates.

Important dates for IPS-2012 exam:
Indian Police Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.
Indian Police Service (Main Exam) notification for this year:
Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012

To become eligible to apply for the IPS examination you have to be a graduate from a recognized institution in any stream. This is the necessary educational qualification needed.
