KAS ( Karnataka public Service Examination ) :
This KAS examination is for Karnataka Administrative service is conducted by KPSC.
This KAS examination for KAS Group A application 2012 and KAS Group B 2012 posts and KAS officer .
KAS examination Prilims exam have 2 papers, Paper I and paper II, The questions will be on both Kanada and english . 20 Questions 400 marks. But each paper have 2 parts part I and Part II .

Part I cantains 40 marks from GK /Karnataka state current affairs carffaires can 80 marks in total. Part II contains 30 Questions from science and technology carries 30 marks 60 questions related to genaral mental Ability Carrying 60 marks totaling 120 marks. Paper -1 contains 100 questions that carry 200 marks.

Importent dates :
Last date of appling : 12/12/2011
KAS preliminary exam date : feb 2012
Kas main exams date : june 2012

Karnataka Administrative Services exam is conducted for filling Group I and Group II Civil service posts in the Karnataka state. This exam is mainly conducted by Karnataka Public service Commission. Graduation in any subject area is the main qualification required to appear for this exam. You should attend the preliminary exam first and then proceed to main exam if you get qualified in the former one. You will be tested mainly in the areas of General studies, Optional subjects, Language etc.

KAS - Karnataka Administrative Service conducted every year by KPSC(Karnataka Public Service Commission).

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree exam within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The slection is through three stages:-

-Preliminary Exam

-Main Exam

-Personal interview

Educational qualification :-

• You must be Graduation passed out in any discipline from recognized university.

Age :-

• Your minimum age should be 21 years.
• Your age should not be above 28 years.

KAS Exam Details :-

• Preliminary Exam of Objective Type.
• Mains Exam of Written Type.
• Personal Interview.

PRELIMINARY EXAM

• PAPER I - General Studies - 150 Marks.
• PAPER II - One Optional Subject - 300 Marks.
• NOTE :- Total duration for each paper will be 2 hours.

MAINS EXAM

• PAPER I - Kannada - 150 Marks.
• PAPER II - English - 150 Marks.
• PAPER III & IV - General Studies - 300 Marks for each paper.
• PAPER V,VI,VII & VIII - Two Optional subjects - 300 Marks for each .
• NOTE :- Total duration for each paper will be 2 hours & this exam will be conducted in two days.
