hi iam currently in standard XII...i want to do the mass communication and videography course from st xaviers kolkata...can you please tell me the details about the entrance exam...also what books can i refer to clear the exam?...Thank you

First of all you have apply online for the course you want to study for e.g. mass com and videography. To apply online you have visit official website of st. xaviers's college , kolkata.

Eligibility for application for bachalor degree(mass com & video) is;

A) 10+2 passed.
B) Must have passed in english level in 10+2
C) At least 45% marks in each subject in 10+2.For english cutoff marks is 60%.
D) Aggregrate of 4 best subject is taken into account.

Subjects which are NOT included in best subjects are;

Agriculture Entrepreneurship, Fashion Designing Music,Art Environmental Education,Fashion Studies, Physical Education,Dance,Environmental Science,Fine Arts, SUPW,Electricity Environmental Studies,Home Science.

E)All application is through online only.

Application forms will be available in the website http://www.sxccal.edu/ in the month of may.Entrance exam on july.
Normally the entrance exam include english and general awreness. Details will be available in the website only

I am currently in standard 12 and I have 6 subjects- elective English, Fashion designing, entrepreneurship, home science, physical education and theatre studies. I want to go for mass communication in St Xavier's college, but I just now read that the marks of 4 best subjects will be taken into account, excluding 4 subjects that I already have in class 12.
