please tell me the details of psu's and ies exams?also tell seats for ECE branch??

PSU stands for the Public Sector Undertakings. There is hardly one or two PSUs which conducts its own entrance exam and even these PSU give a weightage to the GATE scorecard because in the present scenario majority of the PSUs do recruitment on the basis of GATE scorecard and interview.

BARC, SAIL, AAI conducts its own entrance examination in the month of March - April. The other PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, GAIL, ONGC, IOCL etc releases its notification in the month of February to March and you can apply at the official website before the result of the GATE examination. Once GATE result is out, the PSUs declare a ranklist upto candidates can appear for the interview.

The total number of seats for different streams of engineering varies every year and it is clearly mentioned in the notification. BSNL JTO exam is one of the most important exam for ECE candidates.

IES stands for the Indian Engineering Services. It is conducted by the UPSC in four discipline like in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
