I have done my Diploma after 12th as I had not secured good marks in 12. So my question is that will doing Diploma after 12th be considered as a year gap?

If you pursue Diploma course directly after Class 12th, it will not be considered as an academic gap year as diploma itself is an academic degree course and as per the rules an academic gap year is considered when a candidate does not get enrolled himself/herself in any degree or certificate courses.

So, you can continue with your Diploma course without worrying about it leading to academic gap years in your profile.

1 year GAP after 12th affect the placement or not especially when you are a Engineering student.

So the ans is no, it will not affect your placement in any way. some of us had took a one year gap for the preparation of entrance exams and for any other reason .
