hello, i'm a B.Tech student in electrical engg. in 2nd yr. in kalyani government engineering college in W.B. i want to know the eligibility criteria for applying for a job in govt. electrical core companies like NTPC, NHPC ,SAIL.

The best eligibility criteria is a good percentage of above 70% in your graduation without any backlogs. Further a good proficiency in english and
sound basics in your subject helps you to get placed in a good company.

Also you need to prepare for the written test in areas like quantitative ability,
logical reasoning and verbal.A number of books are available in the market to
learn this

is it nescesary to give the gate for all the electrical government jobs???

I am a electrical engg student persuing 3rd year . i got 75% in 10 th but only 56% in 12th . and right now my graduation aggregate is 8.49.am i eligible to sit in interviews of any core ee companies afte r i complete my btech. Plz suggest.
