Drug Inspector Eligility - If you Want To Become a Drug Inspector, then You Must Have a Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Master’s Degree in Chemistry With Pharmaceuticals, Then You Are Eligible to Apply for Drug Inspector Examinations. A Degree in Pharmacy Or Pharmaceutical Science Or Medicine With Specialization In Clinical Pharmacology Or Microbiology From A University Established in India By Law. So, if You Want to Apply For This Exams, Then You Have To Appear In the UPSC Examinations Because this Exams Was Conducted By UPSC. So, if Your Age is Between 18 to 35 Years, Then You Are Eligible to Apply For Drug Inspector Exams. So, For the Notifications, Please Read the Employment Newspaper. |

Eligibility Criteria for Drug inspector :
For appear in Drug inspector exam you need any of the following qualification:- Degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical chemistry, Master degree in chemistry in with pharmaceutical as a special subject or equivalent or Associate diploma of the institute of chemists by passing the exam with analysis of drugs & pharmaceutical as a subject or a degree in medicine. |

Qualifications of Inspectors. - A person who is appointed an Inspector under the Act shall be a person who has a degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law:
Provided that only those Inspectors: - (i) Who have not less than 18 months' experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule C; or (ii) Who have not less than 18 months' experience in testing of at least one of the substances in Schedule C in a Laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority; or (iii) Who have gained experience of not less than three years in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances specified in Schedule C during the tenure of their services as Drugs Inspectors; shall be authorised to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in Schedule C |

Drug inspector for a particular state is recruited by the respective state public service commission. So the eligibility criteria may vary from state to state.
But in general the eligibility requirements for drug inspector is as follows: Academic qualification - A candidate must have hold a degree in Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognised University. Age limit - A candidate must be under 32 years and above 21 years of age. The upper age-limit is relaxable as per government norms. |

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization recruits Drugs Inspectors through the UPSC exam. The state governments also recruit drug inspectors by conducting examinations. |

Drug Inspector exams are conducted by mostly by all state government for their states so i suggest you to keep checking UPSC websites that is www.upse.nic.in and they qualifications are:-
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : A candidate must have hold a degree in Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law. No person who has any financial interest in the import/manufacture of sale or drugs and cosmetics shall be appointed as an Inspector, under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1945. AGE : A candidate must be under 32 years and above 21 years of age. |

To became an drug inspector You have to clear the state level entrance conducted by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria may differ from state to state. Generally the eligibility criteria for drug inspector is as follows: Qualification - A candidate must have passed a degree in 1. Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences 2. to appear in drug inspector examination candidate should have minimum of B.Pharm degree with more than 60% marks or M.Pharm.
the age must be in between 21 to 30 to apply for the examination for general category candidate. reservation are available for for SC/ST/Ph candidate. here i am attaching the syllabus for drug inspector examination. go through the attachment. best wishes. |

These all examination related to public sector are conducted by UPSC and state PSC board authority every year.

Eligibility for Drug Inspector Exam are as shown: - 1. Pass graduation in any subject or in any engineering stream or equivalent from a recognized Institute / University. 2. Nationality - Indian 3. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates. NOTE: - Final year appearing candidates can also apply for Drug Inspector Exam. Best of Luck |
