40% marks in math is not enough but also not bad...

Dear friend
I think you have not write a clear question. Because i dont understand your question. Please elaborate your question, whenever you ask any question in this fourm. Only then anyone is able to give you correct answer. But, according to your question, if you want to do MCA or give any entrance exams like IIT's, you are not eligible. Because for this entrance exams, you have to scored atleast 55% marks. So, please elabroate your question next time. |

because as per as AIEEE 2011 criteria rules The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE 2011 is that the you must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see Appendix IX) with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates. i think even you can write some of your state exams. cheers salwa. good luck |

dear salwar subair your question is incomplete in the sense that you have not mentioned the entrance exam you are looking for. if you are looking for exams like -IIT-JEE then i am very sorry to say you that you are not elligible as this particular exam needs atleast 60% marks in 12th and AIEEE needs only 12th pass so you can apply in it . cracking this exam will enable you to take admission in NITs which is considered good. your marks is really very low and in future you will definetely face problem as in banking exam also atleast 55% marks in class 12th is needed but you have secured just 44%. you should have mentioned your stream so that i had helped you. |

for IIT you are not eligible as it require 60% but you can write AIEEE as it need passing of final Class 12th examination or its equivalent qualifying examination. so donot worry and apply for it as colleges under this give good placement to students. |

Hi!
You have not mentioned in which entrance exam you are planning to appear. There are different eligibility requirements for different entrance exam. Generally if you have scored 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2, then you will be allowed to write most of the entrance exam. Please check the notification for the entrance exam in which you are going to appear. You will get all the details in it. Or if you want some other information from us then write your question in detail. |

40% marks in mathematics in 12 is not enough although you belongs to OBC category.
if your overall percentage is good enough then it is good. otherwise you will face a big problem every time. even you will not be eligible to take admission in IIT as your marks is less than 60%. for OBC there is five percent relaxation almost everywhere. at the time of getting job you will also face problem because of your less marks in mathematics in class 12. some of the company will not recruit you. so this marks is not enough. |

Re: Eligibility to write entrance exam for 40% in 12th Maths candidate
Hello,
I am sorry to say but for most of entrance exams, you will not be eligible. If you are going for IIT-JEE,the minimum percentage required is 60%(aggregate) and even for SC, ST and PD candidates it is 55%.So here you will not be eligible. Though you will be eligible for AIEEE because the percentage requirement for it is pass in 12th.But for architecture courses, the percentage required is 50%. There are still many entrance exams but as you have even mentioned the type of exams. So it is abit difficult to provide a satisfying answer. |
