Only civil,mechanical,electrical and electric & communication engineers are eligible for it.

in IAS exams only electrical ,mechanical and civil
engineer are eligible for it..................

so, you can apply for some other exams...

No you are not eligible for the IES examination as it is not for the computer science and it student. Only the student of electrical,electronics,mechanical can apply for this examination.

No. Right now, You are not eligible to write the IES Examination. You need to complete the course to appear for this Examination. So, Do concentrate on your studies and complete it successfully.

-Electronics and Communication'
-Civil
-Mechanical

Hence you should try some other exam or certifications.

You have to choose one of the following subjects as your stream.

-Electrical
-Electronics and Communication'
-Civil
-Mechanical

because in IES only these branches are available.

Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is conducted by UPSC in every year. To appear in the IES exam you need the following eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for IES Exam:-

For appear in the IES exam you need the degree in the engineering in
any one of the following branch :-

->Electronics & Communication Engineering.
->Electrical Engineering.
->Civil Engineering.
->Mechanical Engineering.

The Computer Science and Information Technology branch is not eligible for IES exam.

So, If you are studying in the Information Technology branch then you
are not eligible for the IES exam.
