I would like to know what would be my gate rank (2015) in mechanical branch. According to several answer keys I referred I'll be scoring 62. Please reply and thanks in advance.

Since the GATE result is already out, you can directly check your result at the website-gate.iitk.ac.in/GATE2015/

For checking the result, follow these simple steps-
1) Click on the "Link for GOAPS - View Your Result/Responses/Download Score-card " lonk.
2) Enter your enrollment ID.
3) Enter the password.
(if you have forgotten your password then you can easily get it through the OTP which is sent on the registered mobile phone which you must have entered during registration)

and now, that's it. You will yourself get the rank and the marks hat you have scored in GATE. No need of approximation required.

GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The results of the GATE 2015 are available on the official website of GATE 2015.

The paper of mechanical stream in 2015 was a bit easy that is why the cut off marks for candidate of different category went a bit high. As you have mentioned that you will getting 62 marks but you have not mentioned your category.

On general rank predictor, your rank will be around 6000-6500 all India. It is not 100% correct it is just a prediction, it may be above or even below the mentioned rank.

The keys available for answers on internet by different coaching institutes are not % correct, so if you are getting 62 marks overall, you rank may be between 6000-7000 All over India. This is just a predication not the exact one as it may vary if the cut off marks for GATE 2015 for mechanical stream is more or less.

You score and rank is calculated according to a formula which is mentioned the gate website. It is difficult to predict what will be rank because every year is different. If you have got 62 score according to calculation made by you then it is a good score if we see the cut off score for previous year admission in IITs and NITs. If you belong to reserved category then it will become more better score.

As per previous year's statistics of GATE with 62 in Mechanical Engineering you can expect All India Rank in between 3000-3500.

This may vary a small in this year as per the cutoff marks of this year.Last year cutoff marks for ME was 26.

In this GATE score you will not get admission in any IITs or NITs. For getting admission in any IIT or NIT your AIR must be within 1-500. You will be eligible for GATE scholarship and can get chance in other government colleges for M.Tech.

The cut off marks for different stream is different.
Since you are having a Mechanical Trade and your GATE score is 65 marks . So I think your rank will be around 7000 .
