Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission(UPPSC) recruits the Food Inspectors for Food & Medical Administration Department.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Candidate must be Graduate in medicine and must be trained in food inspection.
OR
Must be graduate in science with chemistry or in food technology.
OR
Candidate must be a medical Officer in charge.
2. Age Limit: 21 – 35 yrs.

PAY SCALE
Rs.9300 to 34800 + Rs.4200 Grade pay

Food Inspectors (Food and Medical Administration Deptt) exam is conducted by Public Service Commission, Uttar Pradesh.
Important Instructions for the Candidates:
1. This advertisement is available on the Website of UP Public Service Commission www.uppsc.org.in

2. In this Examination OMR Application System is applicable and the candidates may obtain OMR Appplication forms from the Head Post Offices of the District or from the Post Offices mentioned under SlNo 7(2) of this Advt The cost of the OMR Application form has been fixed as Rs 155/- for PREGEN Series (General OBC of UP and all candidates of other states) and Rs 95/- for PRERES Series (SC of UP and ST of UP). The candidates under horizontal reservations (PH of UP, Women of UP, DFF of UP and Ex-Army personnel candidates of UP) shall purchase application form according to their main category.

3. The candidates who want to appear in both General and Special Recruitment Examination must apply separately for them.

4. The candidates must keep a photocopy of their OMR application form with them. They must mention their OMR Form No in the correspondence with Commission in future.

Application Procedure of the Food Inspector Exam
To obtain the forms, applicants can rely up on the general post offices within the country. As the test is conducted all over India, applicants can procure the same from any GPO offices across the country by remitting the required application fee. Job Profile:

Candidates can apply for the posts of Food Inspector in the Food and Medical Administration Department. Selected candidates will have to perform the regular work of a food inspector i.e. inspection of the quality of the food items.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be in between 21 to 35 years of age as on 01 July 2010. There is relaxation for the reserved category candidates in age limit as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:

Minimum educational qualification criteria should be fullfilled by the interested candidates in order to apply for the posts of Food Inspector in the department of Food and Medical Administration.

No. of posts: 430 posts (Gen-212, SC-89, ST- 14, OBC-115),

Pay Scale: The prescribed salary for the specified post is Rs.9300 - 34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will have to clear the Food Inspectors Recruitment Examination - 2010 in order to get selected for the posts of Food Inspector in the Food and Medical Administration Department.

How to apply: Application completed in all respects should be submitted (registered post or by hand) to Secretary, (Deptt No.A-2/E-1/2010) Public Service Commission, UP, 10, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Allahabad-211018.
