B.tech Students should go for GATE (Graduate aptitude test in Engineering).
Why ?
Because GATE is a standard national competitive exam through which you can get
1. Admissions in M. Tech from IITs and while doing M.tech you can earn 12,400/- per month as an stipend.

2. Can get a Job in Government company like ONGC,IOCL etc (near about 70 govt. companies attached with GATE).

3. Research (Scientist in BARC,PHD, JRF, SRF, Research Associates-I,II,III)

4. MBA from NITIE, Mumbai (5th Rank business school in India, 127 seats, avg. package-12lacs)
