YOU can apply for DRUG inspector even as a fresher...
Drug Inspector exams are conducted by mostly by all state government for their states so i suggest you to keep checking UPSC websites that is www.upse.nic.in and they qualifications are:- EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : A candidate must have hold a degree in Pharmacy of Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialisation in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law. No person who has any financial interest in the import/manufacture of sale or drugs and cosmetics shall be appointed as an Inspector, under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1945. AGE : A candidate must be under 32 years and above 21 years of age. |

Eligibility For Drug Inspector :- You must Be Having Degree in Pharmacy or Medicine from a Recognized University . & Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years of Age. Quote:

Essential qualifaction for Drug inspector :-
A. Educational : Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent. Pharmacy degree obtained must be from PCI approved college and candidate be registered with state or central pharmacy council. B. Experience : 3 years' experience in the manufacture or testing of Biological and special products specified in Schedule 'C' and 'C'(1) to the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945. C. Age:21 to 30 year at the time of exam. |

Public Appointment Notice Applications are invited to fill up three posts of Drug Inspector in the Health Department in the pay band-3 Rs 10,300-34,800/- + grade pay of Rs 4200/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules through Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi The educational and other qualifications, experience etc required for the post are as under Essential: Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceuticals Science or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized university or institution established in India by Law Eighteen months experience in the manufacturer of at least one of the substance specified in schedule ‘C’ of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940; or Eighteen months experience in testing of at least one of the substance in schedule ‘C’ of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 in a laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority; or three years experience in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substance ‘C’ of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 Relaxation in qualifications: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified The qualifications regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST. If at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is o the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them Age limit: For appointment by Deputation not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application The eligible officials should apply for the aforesaid post and forward their application through their department. While forwarding the applications of the eligible officials, the concerned department should furnish the following certificates along with the application/curriculum Vitae proforma of the official so recommended; up-to-date Annual confidential reports in original of the applicants for the last five years; integrity certificate signed by the Head of the department; Vigilance clearance certificate indicating that no disciplinary proceedings or criminal proceedings are either pending or contemplated against the officials concerned; certificate regarding no court case is pending against the officer concerned signed by the Head of the department; statement of major/minor penalties, if any, imposed on the candidate during the last 10 years or a no penalty certificate, as the case may be Applications duly completed in all respect, should reach the Special Secretary Health, Chandigarh administration, Room No. 426, 4th Floor, Deluxe Building, Sector 9, Chandigarh within 60 (sixty) days from the date of its publication |

Hi
It is not necessary to have any experience to be a drug inspector you can join as a fresher as well. For this you must have a degree in pharmacy or medicine from a recognized university.And your age must be in between 21 -30 years age best of luck |
