there are vast government jobs for EEE students dont be afraid of...

you can go for IES and IAS exams which is government and of high level also.
BSNL,NTPC, GAIL , ISRO , DRDO , BHEL
these are the government sectors you can apply for those....
as far as the most interesting thing is you can go for IT companies and also telecommunication companies like airtel etc....
your salary package will be high do not worry about this just do hard work...

You can try for the public sector exams like:-
BSNL, DRDO, ISRO, SAIL, GAIL, NTPC, UPSC,etc.. all these provide government jobs and services....

see if you are planning for a campus placement then you should have a good CGPA for Public Sector Units(PSU).
if you are planning for off campus placement then you may have to give GATE exams as some of the PSU's are making it mandatory

Government jobs after B.Tech in EEE?

There is no need to worry for Electric and Electronic student as there are so many jobs in government sector for them .Apart from this they can also apply for a number of private job as well. The government jobs available for EEE candidates are as follows:

• You can also apply for the post of P.O in different banks like- SBI,ICICI e.t.c

These jobs are not simple to get .You will have to face an entrance exam.After clearing that exam you will have to face an interview and then you will be allowed to join .

There are many government companies for the EEE students who have score more then 60-65% percentage .These companies have their placement exam which they conduct in the nation or some times state level to recruit students to various post .If your percentage is above 65% in Btech and in class 10th and 12th then you are eligible for all government companies .
