There are lot of branches in mba like marketing,finance,HR,
But ,now a lot more better scope for ece students is Telecom mangement.

See it really doesnt matter that which group you are going to take in MBA because you are not going to apply all the theories which you have learnt in the 4 yrs of your B. Tech career MBA is different thing but HR and Finance are better relating to other groups

IMPORTANCE OF MBA DEGREE TO A HR PROFESSIONAL


Can any one suggest whether MBA qualification is of utmost important to become a HR professional? If so, in which way the degree is helping?

Nowadays there is a perception to so many large IT organizations that only the candidates from very reputed institutions like IIM, Symbiosis and the candidates those who have completed their MBAs through regular are of more valuable and knowledgeable than the candidates those who have not undergone any Specialized courses in Human resource and / or the candidates those who have completed their MBA through correspondence. Is it a real fact?

I have attended two to three conferences and found that so many senior HR executives and Managers are not compulsorily from HR specialized but doing really good. Even in a reputed organization i found that the senior manager of HR is not from HR back ground but from operations background with engineering Graduate.

Choice of career is yours. Sometimes one should go by the market .you see where your interest goes, technicity or managerial.
