Today there are many courses available you can pursue at graduate level. Almost all institute offers degree courses in commercial field.
You may choose any courses among these of your interest
B.Com
with Honours in Accounting and Finance/Banking & Insurance/Commercial Studies/Marketing
Bachelor of Business Administration BBA
with options of specialization in Finance/Banking/Accounting/HR/Marketing/Retail

Bachelor of Business Management BBM
B.Sc in Economics/Maths
You may even change your field and pursue courses in Media filed
Bachelors Degree in Mass Media BMM
Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication BMC
Or you can even go in computer field with
Bachelor of Computer Application BCA
B.Sc IT

In order to join the Income Tax Department as an Officer, first of all, you need to complete bachelors degree program in any discipline, from a recognized university. Candidates who have only qualified +2 level of examination are not considered for the post of the Inspector/Sub-Inspector in any department including Income Tax department.
After completion of the bachelors degree program, you will have to qualify Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
Qualifying the examination will enable you to join the department as an Inspector.
Apart from being a graduate, one must be within the age limit of 18-27 years.

Dear student,

After 12th standard you can not apply for Income Tax Officer.
Minimum Graduation required.

To become an Income Tax Officer you have to clear the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exams.

SSC Combined Level Exams are conducted in three Tiers.

Tier 1 : You have to first appear in Tier 1 written exams and clear it.
Tier 2 : After clearing Tier 1 you become eligible to appear in Tier 2 exams.
Tier 3 : Interviews are conducted for candidates successful in Tier 2 exams.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification:
Minimum qualification is Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.

Age Limit:
18-27yrs in general category,for OBC relaxation of upper age limit by 3yrs and for SC/ST by 5yrs.
