how much and by which stream we can become ips officer?

Step by Step Procedure for one to become an IPS officer.

Step 1
The aspirant has to prosure the "Application form" along with "Information Brochure" from any of the "Head Post Offices" spread throughout the country and sent the filled form to the Address given in the Information Brochure.

The notification for the exam with relevant details regarding rules and syllabus is published in the month of december in all leading newspapers of the country.

Step 2
In the month of May or June the aspirants have to take the "priliminary exam" consisting of two papers,each of 200 marks.

Step 3
Those candidates who are declared qualifies are supposed to take the final exam, in october.

Step 4
The Final Stage is Interview.The aspirants are grilled in the interview to test their personality and mental ability. Then the final list of successful candidates is prepared and the candidates who have secured very good rank out of 400-450 top ranks are admitted to the Sardar vallabhai Patel
National academy as IPS probationers, where they get their necessary training.
