how can i change the gate 2010 exam center zone if i have already posted my form?
what will be the procedure for the same?
plz reply fast........

Write a letter to the chairman of the zone connected requesting for the change of examination city...

its not possible to change the center now.

Its better to call the concerned institution and talk to the chairman...

you cannot change your center of examination if you already have posted you application form,contact at the regional office may be they will help you.

It clearly says--

"Change of Examination City is permitted, only if a request for the same reaches the GATE Chairman of zone to which the Application Form was originally submitted, on or before December 31 , 2009, along with Demand Draft of Rs. 400/- as fee for change of Examination City"

It's clear that the examination city can be changed but can I change the zone? I opted for Kharagpur zone. Now can I opt for some examination city at Bangalore zone?

You can change your examination centre provided you write a letter to the GATE chairman of that particular zone.

right now i don't have information brochure with me.please help in changing my exam centre.please mention what all details has to be sent from my side to do the same.

contact the place or helpline centre where you have sent your filed form ask them what you can do to chnage the centre

for changing your exam center zone please contact the authority or write a letter to them for the change of exam zone.

nothing can be do at this time.so better take care in next time......

you can contact the concerned authority or write a letter regarding the change of exam center or e mail then in there mailing address. they will definitely change it.

but one thing i would like to clear it that after submission of application form,you can not change any thing,
and as the gate 2010 exam is already over,so you can not do any thing now,

iam sorry to say you that you cannot change the centre of the exam after sending the application form,so better dont think about it and concentrate on the studies.

but still you can try and contact the officials
get the contacts from the official website

just make a request to the authority and ur work will be done

and dont worry now concentrate on your preparation and prepare well

after posted the application form, you can't change the exams centre zone of gate exams................

once submitted dont get into a hastle to change that just prepare well because nthing can be changed now

in the gate prospectus ,its written to sumbit an application directly to the iit zone office from where you sumbitted your form.
you have to pay an Rs 500 too.

Dear friend you will have to contact by either sending application or sending mail.
You may even directly contact them.
procedure will be informed to you by them.

sorry friend
if after submission submit the exam form of gate exam you can not change it.also for this year the exam is over,
so if you miss the exam then better preparation for the next exam and crack the gate.

You can not change the examination center once you have filled up the application form and send it to the office ..

So there is no other alternative for that ,go and give the exam as you have mentioned in your application form.

Eligibility for GATE :

1. If you are B.E , B.Tech , B.Arch are eligible to apply GATE.

2. If you are in Final year of any of the above branches also you can apply for GATE exam.

3. If you are in 2nd Year or 4 Year Integrated P.G program in Science / Technology can apply for GATE exam.

4. If you had passed A.I.C.T.E / U.P.S.C exams you can apply for GATE exam.

5. If you are passing through 4 th year of 5 year Integrated program can also apply for GATE exam.

6. If you had done M.Stat , M.C.A , or M.A in Mathematics can apply for GATE exam.

So dude you can apply for GATE exam and appear for the examination but before the counselling to come you had to clear all the exams that you are in a particular course.

is it possible to change zone from Mumbai to Rorkee.
