how to join nda after 12 standard...please tell me how to do it

NDA-National Defence Academy.

UPSC conducting this exam every year twice i.e NDA-I and NDA-II.


Eligibility details:-

The candidate should be complete 12th standard or any equivalent from a recognised state board or a university.

Applicant should be an INDIAN origin.

The applicant age must be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.

No relaxation for a reservation or general category candidates.

For Indian Airforce and Indian Navy applicant must have to complete 12th standard with PCM subjects.

There is no requirements for NDA exam on percentage criteria.

Only unmarried and Male candidates are eligible for this exam.

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:-Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army .

Entrance Exam after 12th for NDA

The NDA exam is carried out by the UPSC every year. This exam will be held two times in a year. The candidates who get qualified in the written exam will be called in for an SSB multiple rounds of interviews. The candidates will also have to go through a psychology test and Group task which will also be carried out by the SSB.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

For N.D.A exam you have to pass 12th with any stream like:-

There are basically two modes through which once can join Indian Army as an officer:

Through NDA Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission
Technical Entrance Scheme


In order to join Indian Army through NDA Examination, you must have passed higher secondary examination from a recognized board and must be within the age limit of 16.5 to 19 years.

In order to join through the Technical Entry Scheme, you must have passed higher secondary examination with a minimum of 70% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. As far as age limit is concerned, the minimum eligible age is 16.5 years and the maximum age limit is 19.5 years.

Candidates applying for the NDA Examination need to go through written examination whereas, those applying through the Technical Entry Scheme needs to appear for an interview instead of written examination.

The application procedure for both modes, i.e. NDA Examination as well as Technical Entrance Scheme, is carried out twice a year.
