hi.. i want to know of the procedures of getting a job in hal....and to do an internship program from hal...cud u give the detail procedures of doing internship in there...i m a student of 4th semester...cud i apply for internship in middle of semester...if possible...wt r the procedures....??

I am a final year Mechanical Engineering student ( VTU ). I am among the luckiest to get an opportunity to go through a three week internship at HAL, Bangalore. Thanks to my friend who referred me for the internship. ( He knew one of the HAL representatives ). The procedure after getting the permission from HAL people was a bit cumbersome.
Here is the procedure we followed..
1. Get permission from the HAL people (I'm sorry I don't know how to do it without having reference).
2. Get a letter from the college that they are willing to send for the internship program.
3. Post the letter to HAL.
4. They in turn will send a mail to you stating all the rules that should not be violated at the premises. It is an undertaking by you that you will follow the rules over there (also should be signed by the Principal of the institution).
5. Study Certificate or the Bonafide Certificate stating that you are a student of the institution and that your character is good.
6. You have to go through the procedures to obtain the PVC for training(Police Verification Certificate). Obtaining PVC takes about a week or 10 days. So make sure you don't keep the work till the last moment.

That is it! You have to provide the undertaking, Bonafide Certificate and the PVC to the HAL at the beginning of the internship.
