Every engineering student have mini project and major project.As you r mechanical engineering you mostly prefer to do in college itself.As u have not mentioned ur details like college and region.checkout any companies in ur area and take permission letter from ur department and contact the particular company head,its better to prefer the company who have contacts with person working in that company.

Internship is offered to the candidates who are in Final year.

As you mentioned that you are still in second year. I suggest you to prepare well for your exams and score good marks in your examination as the percentage you are going to attain are going to offer you good opportunities in future.

So increase your percentage for the time and later in the final year you can go for the internship program.

i am a second year student from nit and my branch is mechanical engineering and i want to do trainig . How and from where i can do this?

I m 2nd year student of NIT ROURKELA of EE stream..i have some of the queries . Will it be really helpful to do internships during summers after 4 th sem..? Which is better doing internships in iits/iisc or in companies ..? Does doing intern ABROAD will be more helpful?
