How can I get admission in BCA course?

Bachelor of Computer Application is 3 years Undergraduate degree course in which student learn about computer and it's application .

Eligibility for BCA

• 12th passed with 50% marks or other equivalent qualification from recognized board.
• you have must have MATHS/STATISTICS/BUSINESS MATHEMATICS/physics in your class 12th.


Reputed institutions take Entrance Exam which usually consist questions on

ENGLISH,QUANTITIVE APTITUDE,REASONING and GENERAL AWARENESS

(total questions -150)

followed by

• Group Discussion
• Personal Interview.

Bachelor of computer applications ( BCA ) is an undergraduate course for the 12th pass out students interested in making a career in the field of information technology.For getting the admission for BCA course you can apply in the college that offers the BCA course with the general eligilibilty criteria.
Eligibility
The minimum eligibilty criteria for BCA admission , you must have completed your higher secondry with minimum 50 % in total and also having mathematics as subject in qualifying examination.While good number of colleges admit on the basis of 12th marks, but some reputed institutions conduct entrance test for admission to BCA course.

The admission procedure to Bachelors in Computer Application course is similar to the other Under Graduate Programs.

As for the age criteria most of the colleges need the candidates to be at least 17 years old. The maximum age varies between 22 to 25 years.

The application forms are normally available during the period the 12th standard results are declared.

BCA stands for BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS this is a degree level course the minimum qualification required for this course to join 12th standard from a recognized university and no age limit for this course and you have maths,physics subjects in 12th standard.

The minimum requirement for this course is a 12th class from a recognized institute. Mathematics as a subject in 12th class is a must to join for BCA. You need to score 50% marks to apply for this course. Admission notifications for BCA course will be published by different colleges or Universities. You can choose any reputed institution or college to pursue this course. There are certain colleges which conduct entrance examination as part of selection criteria for this course. Some of the colleges or universities like Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Lucknow University etc conduct entrance exams to select candidates for BCA course.

An eligibility criterion is the minimum requirement, which is to be met. Every student appearing for any exam or applying for any of the universities has to first complete the eligibility criteria. There are many colleges in India which are offering BCA course. These colleges are affiliated to different universities whereas some are autonomous. Each of the college is having its own eligibility criteria, but some of them are common. Here are some of the common eligibility criteria which are to be met by the student.

>> The student should have minimum educational qualification of class XII from some recognised university. The student should be able to complete his 10+2 with minimum 50% marks. Most of the colleges require a student who had mathematics, physics, and chemistry in his class XII. While there are some who require its student to have English as one of the subjects in class XII.

>> There are some colleges who have some entrance exam for the students. The student will be eligible to apply for the college only in the condition when the student fulfils the minimum required marks in that entrance exam.

After passing 12th if you want to do B.C.A you have to obtain high percentage in you 12th Board Exam.

You did not mention the highest level of academic qualification that you have.

In order to be eligible to join BCA course, you should have completed your 12th class with the following subjects
Mathematics
Physics

You should have scored a minimum of 50% of marks in your 12th class.

Direct admission will be given for this course in many of the colleges.

Before the start of admissions, what I suggest you is, collect the list of colleges offering this course in and around you.

Analyze their academic standards and other facilities and choose one college which is best in all these areas.

Know the selection procedure to get admission for BCA course in that college and crack the same.

Generally, if you go to the college, they will give one application form.

You need to fill the same by specifying the course that you wish to join and then affix your photograph and submit the same by paying the fee.

Well, for applying in BCA course you would practically need no effort. This is perhaps one of the courses where absolutely no effort is needed to get admitted. You just have to gather the money that is required for the entire duration of the course. Along with that you must have Mathematics in your subject combination of your 12th standard. People who generally score more than 50% are accepted in the BCA course. That is it. No other restriction is kept for BCA courses in most colleges. Sometimes distance universities do not even check for 50% or above criteria while taking BCA candidates for admission. You just need the money for paying the semester fees. If you have the money, you will be admitted in the course. So just log onto the websites of the colleges offering BCA and just check semester fee of which college you will be able to pay before each semester without taking any student loan. Just bring the money and get admitted in that college.

Normally, universities admitting students in BCA courses based on their 12th score. If they have scored 50% or more, they can directly take admission. Best institutes to pursue the course are Sharda university, Lovely Professional University, JMI etc.

I am commerce student. I can complete my 12th in 2014. My 12th marks is 49.38%. I am interested in BCA Course. Can i get admission in BCA pune College without entrance exam.
