You can apply for govt job either after passing 12th class or after completing graduation.
Govt are categorized under group A, B , C and D.

For group C , you can apply after completing 12th . Group D is basically peon and low ,level job.

For group A and B , you must be a graduate and you have to apply for the entrance test held for these vacancies. Group A service is among the top govt service , these include IAS, IES , IRS, IFS and other high profile services.
Similarly in Group B , there are professors , doctors , Bank PO, junior engineers at state level etc.

Besides these, there are some other eligible criteria like age , qualification which must be fulfilled to apply for these jobs.

You can get information about the vacancies for these jobs in Employment News paper , other than this there are numerous websites from where you can get latest job updates.
